Saklikent is a winter sports and ski resort in the Taurus Mountains which is the southern part of Turkey. Home to 500 chalets, ski facilities, restaurants, cafe and much more.
Take either a one day trip or two days with an overnight stay in the pretty little ski town of Saklikent which is close to Antalya.
The resort is open from approx December to April each year but can vary depending on the snow conditions.
The resort has a lodge to accomodate 200 guests, a cafe to accomodate 300 and a motel for 40 guests. There is a modern ski room to hire ski and snowboarding equipment and lessons.
A hotel in Saklikent now has an indoor swimming pool, turkish baths, sauna and wellness centre, a disco and meeting hall.
The temperature rarely drops below -5 degrees celcius and the average snow thickness is 150cm-200cm.
The tallest peak at the resort is 2.637m (8.652ft) with the highest skiing height being at 2.250m (7.380ft).
There are black, red, blue and yellow runs so there are facilities for all levels of skiers, great for beginners as well as experts.
